There are 2 types of titles: descriptive and playful.
Descriptive titles announce the topic of the work clearly and succinctly. They attract readers steadily and slowly. Playful titles hint at the topic. they are creative and catchy, and attract many readers right away, but might not be good for a long-term client building goal.
Some Ideas for writing descriptive titles:
1. Use numbers: (“Top 5 Reasons Why …”)
2. Ask a question (Do you…?)
3. Start with (How to….)
4. Story titles: (I never know X can be so X until …..)
Some ideas for writing playful titles:
1. Change a word in a common expression
2. Use a common expression in a new situation.
3. Play on words: (ex: Just in Time – about Justin Timberlake.
4. Use metaphor or simile (Silly as X)
